2014 Mustang Boss 302S Road Race Car Build Completion Luncheon
Watson Racing hosted the Ford Racing 2014 Mustang Boss 302S build completion luncheon & hood signing on July 31, 2014. The Watson Racing Team, Ford Racing and a few of the different groups listened as Ford Racing Director, Jamie Allison congratulated teams and talked about the success of the build.
Watson Racing has been hard at work over the last several months assembling the 2014 Mustang BossS Road Race cars, 50 of which were offered in Oxford White, Grabber Blue, and the Satin Black finish.
“Most of the 2014 Mustang BOSS 302S race cars are used for open track events. Chris Outzen took his Oxford White 2014 Boss 302S and is competing in the World Challenge GTS series. Ford Racing expects more cars to enter SCCA/NASA/WC competition next year,” says Ford Racing Parts’ Andrew Casselberry.
Road-race specific parts on the BOSS include Dynamic three-way-adjustable coil-over dampers, specific front lower control arms, adjustable front swaybar, caster/camber plates, and the six-point roll cage with beefed-up door bar sections. The cage has been designed to provide driver protection in all conditions with additional bars and gusseting throughout.
One thing is for sure – the BOSS 302S is positioned to continue its run of success within the road-racing world, thanks to the efforts of Ford Racing and the numerous teams that campaign these cars.
